How we review requests
Include the record or post link, name, arrest date, case number and court or agency. Tell us what needs changing. A public court disposition, dismissal, acquittal or sealing order helps us verify the request. Do not send Social Security numbers, ID photos or unredacted private documents.
We review requests for accuracy, mistaken identity, case outcomes and sealed records. Verified errors are corrected; removal requests are assessed against the record, supporting information and applicable law. Requests and corrections are free.
Release does not mean a charge was dismissed. Our records may not show the final case outcome. We can update content we control; copies shared by others may remain.
